Cannabis TLC Kit

In order to quickly identify and test purification methods for Cannabinoids, Sorbtech has created a Cannabis TLC Kit.  The kit contains everything a Cannabis Scientist needs to effectively and efficiently test for cannabinoid content on a small scale.  This technique is primarily useful for determining which cannabinoids are present at higher concentrations in an extract, especially for quick determination of THC presence.

The materials included in this kit will allow you to quickly:

• Learn how to use TLC as a lab tool for Cannabis testing
• Identify cannabinoids based on known literature information
• Test a variety of solvent systems rapidly to determine how to perform your purification process

• Procedure for TLC plate testing
• 2733187 – C18-W Aluminum Backed TLC Plates
• Fast Blue BB – A diazonium salt used to derivatize (modify) the cannabinoids into a visible TLC spot
• Potassium Hydroxide – Helps catalyze the derivatization process
• TLC-Rocket – Sorbtech TLC Rocket for development of TLC plates
• Glass Capillaries – Small glass tubes used to apply sample to the TLC plate
