Thiol (SH) Flash Functionalized Silica Gel
Thiol (SH) is a silica gel with a surface functionalization of thiol groups (S-H); silica gel surface-modified with 1-propane thiol.
This material is an effective adsorbent material and scavenger for electrophiles and toxic heavy metals.
Electrophiles that are adsorbed include alkyl, benzyl, and allyl halides as well as a variety of acid chlorides and isocyanates.
Heavy Metals That Are Scavenged Include:
- Mercury (Hg)
- Lead (Pb)
- Cadmium (Cd)
- Palladium (Pd)
- Platinum (Pt)
- Copper (Cu)
- Silver (Ag)
A wide range of operating conditions is possible.
Our Thiol Bonded Phases Use Our Premium Silica Gel as a Starting Material.
- Narrow particle distribution for greater efficiency
- Reproducible from lot to lot
- High load capacity and recovery rates
