SorbaRose™ – Beaded Cross-Linked
Agarose Solid Phase Resin
Agarose Solid Phase Resin
For immobilization of ligands under targeted purification using seven distinct coupling chemistries
SorbaRose is a family of activated agarose beads that enable you to direct purification protocols. An assortment of high performance, cross-linked agarose resins, and selected covalent binding technologies allow you to choose the most advantageous strategy for linking a ligand to the solid phase.
SorbaRose Solid Phase Agarose Resins:
- Porous, stable, cross-linked beaded agarose provides a robust platform for both small and large scale applications
- Tolerant of most Clean-In-Place (CIP) procedures based on the ligand
- Choose from two different agarose concentrations (4 and 6%)
- Available in seven distinct coupling chemistries
- Applications include:
- Antibody purification
- High-resolution fractionation of biomolecules
- Purification of human IgG
- Immobilize enzymes, antibodies, and other proteins
SorbaRose is available in three different affinity and binding formats:
Affinity – For Purification of Biomolecules Using Affinity Chromatography
The available product categories are:
- Purification of antibodies (matrices and columns with protein A, protein G, and protein L)
- Purification of recombinant proteins with His-tag (plates and columns with IDA and NTA ligand for metal activation and finished products activated with nickel, cobalt, copper, and zinc)
- Purification of recombinant proteins from GST (resin and glutathione columns)
- Other products for affinity chromatography (beds and columns with biotin, heparin, and streptavidin)
Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography (HIC) – For Purification of Biomolecules by Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography Technique
- In the HIC purification of biomolecules, even small differences in the hydrophobicity of the ligand can have a significant effect on the binding of the molecules.
- In general, the hydrophobicity increases with the length of the ligand:
Butyl < Pentyl < Hexyl < Heptyl < Octyl < Phenyl
Activated – Activated Beds for Covalent Binding of Ligands
- A large selection of binding methods allows the best strategy to attach ligands to the substrate to be used, ensuring optimal conditions for the selected purification process.
- Available with the following active groups:
- Aldehyde
- Amine
- Carboxy
- Epoxy
- Hydrazide
- NHS
- Thiol
